O’Reilly to Carson: Liberal Media ‘Annoyed’ by You, ‘Trying to Diminish Your Intellect’

Bill O’Reilly brought Ben Carson on tonight so they could both go after the liberal media for attacking Carson over his recent controversial statements. O’Reilly brought up clips from various shows and told him “There’s something about you that really annoys the secular-progressives.”

Carson insisted again that he has said nothing controversial and it’s just the media that gets upset.

When O’Reilly asked if it’s a race issue, Carson did say liberals have certain standards they set for black people “and you’re not supposed to wander away from that or you’re an Uncle Tom.”

Carson also affirmed to O’Reilly that he does believe in creationism, but he’s never said that the world is 6,000 years old, suggesting that God could have made the world billions of years old if he wanted.

O’Reilly ended the segment by defending Carson from the media attacks, saying they’re “trying to diminish your intellect,” telling Carson he understood completely what he meant with his comments about the Oregon shooting and the Holocaust, and suggesting the outraged liberal media is “grandstanding,’ possibly “lying.”
