Republican Strategist: Clinton on the Path for 400 Electoral Vote Blowout
Republican strategist and MSNBC contributor Steve Schmidt argued on Morning Joe Wednesday morning that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is on track for a complete domination on election day, and is poised to win over 400 of the 538 electoral votes.
“What’s the over/under on the electoral college victory for Hillary?” asked host Joe Scarborough.
“I think she’s trending over 400,” said Schmidt, former senior advisor to John McCain‘s 2008 presidential run. The last 400-point electoral vote victory was George H. W. Bush‘s 40-state blowout of Michael Dukakis in 1988.

“Over 400?” repeated a shocked Scarborough. “Democrats take the Senate?”
“Yes,” responded Schmidt without hesitating.
“Take the House?”
“Close,” he said. “I think Republicans are down 25 seats as of today, with the trend line going in the wrong direction… the panic is beginning.”
