Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg has been taking interview after interview this afternoon following his decision to ignore a subpoena to appear before a federal grand jury on the Russia investigation. Among the insane declarations and bombshell remarks made by Nunberg today were his personal attacks on White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who he called a “fat slob” and a “joke.”
During another off-the-rails interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, Nunberg made explicit something he hinted at in previous segments — that longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone is his mentor and friend and he wasn’t going to help the special counsel build a case against him. After bringing that up, Melber noted that it was reported that many at the White House are upset over Nunberg’s interviews, causing the ex-Trump aide to go off.
“Sarah should shut up, frankly,” Nunberg exclaimed, referencing Sanders.
“Sarah should shut up,” he stated. “She’s a terrible communications — by the way, her presidential, the person she defends every day, he has a 35% approval rating. She should shut her mouth.”
As Melber tried to move on, Nunberg wanted to make sure everyone understood his feelings about the press secretary.
“I’m warning her to shut her mouth!” Nunberg exclaimed.
You can’t make any of this up if you tried.
