White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders wasted little time in getting to questions from the media today at the latest press briefing.
Predictably, the recent comments from Sen. Bob Corker and Sen. Jeff Flake‘s historic Senate speech were the first issues to come up.
When questioned on Flake’s announcement that he’s not running for reelection, Sanders responded, “Based on the lack of support that he has from the people of Arizona, it’s probably a good move.”
After being asked what she thinks history will say of Sen. Flake and Sen. Corker’s remarks, Sanders bluntly referred to their remarks as “petty comments.”

Overall, the reaction to Flake’s comments has been that they were anything but “petty.”
…to each their own?
