Stephen Miller Rips Joy Reid for Saying Trump Voters Are in ‘Demographic Panic’: ‘It Is the Right of Every Country to Be Able to Have Control Over Your Border’
Former Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller tore into MSNBC host Joy Reid on Thursday for suggesting that supporters of former President Donald Trump were in a “demographic panic.”
During an appearance by Miller on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle, host Laura Ingraham played a clip of Reid arguing that Trump supporters want dictatorship and are suffering from “demographic panic.”
“People don’t want to come at the voter, but these voters are actively saying, ‘Yes, we want a dictatorship. Yes, we want him to be dictator. Yes, we like autocracy,'” said Reid. “It’s not economic anxiety, it’s racial anxiety. It’s demographic panic.”
Reacting to Reid’s remarks, Miller sarcastically declared, “It’s inherently racist, bigoted, xenophobic to believe that your country should have any say over who enters your country and what number and what amount over what time frame.”
Miller then got serious:
It is the right of every country to be able to have control over your border, to have firm limits on immigration, and to enforce those limits uniformly, and so this is of course what they always do. But it’s not working, and we know it’s not working because polling shows that Joe Biden’s absolute weakest issue is immigration.
He concluded, “That means that Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and White Americans all think his immigration policy is heinous, rubbish, egregious, and it belongs in a giant trash heap, which is where I predict it will go in November.”
Miller and Reid have repeatedly clashed over immigration, with Reid branding Miller a “White nationalist Dracula” during a segment in November.
