‘This is a Democracy’: Kellyanne Conway Lectures Nikki Haley About Being an ‘Election Denier’
Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway worked up the nerve to scold Nikki Haley about being an “election denier” because she won’t concede to Donald Trump just yet.
The New Hampshire 2024 primary vote concluded on Tuesday night with Trump’s victory, which raises questions about how much longer Haley can sustain her campaign rivalry with the former president. Haley did congratulate Trump for his Granite State victory, but she promised to keep her bid going while standing by her criticisms against him.
Trump used his speech last night to trash Haley, and when Conway joined Sean Hannity for reactions, she ripped into Haley over her digs at Trump.
“I don’t really care for that,” Conway complained. “For [Trump] to sweep those first three states, it’s pretty decisive. This is a democracy, a constitutional republic. We must respect the will of the people, and Nikki Haley can’t become an election denier. She’s been rejected. She can say tonight she came in second, or you can say she came in last.”
It’s interesting Conway would tell off Haley for denying an election result when, just last night, Trump once again pushed his false claim that he won the 2020 election. The former president, who Conway worked for until 2020, has spent years denying his loss to President Joe Biden, and he is facing multiple indictments stemming from his alleged, fraudulent attempts to overturn his defeat.
Conway has acknowledged Trump’s defeat in the past, much to her former boss’ displeasure.
