Trump ‘Honored and Happy’ to Know Middle Eastern Autocrat Also Has ‘Problems With the Media’
At the very end of today’s joint press conference with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, President Donald Trump just couldn’t help himself and decided to take a shot at his favorite target — the media.
After the Middle Eastern monarch criticized the press for causing issues with Qatar, claiming Kuwait was the target of Qatari media attacks, Trump ended the presser by making the following observation:
“Well, that is a problem that we will get resolved, and I’m very, very honored and happy to know that you have problems with the media also.”
Immediately, reporters and journalists took to Twitter to highlight the fact that Kuwait has a history of jailing members of the media — and Trump just commended the country’s leader for criticizing the press.
