Trump Pledges to Release Report on Drones: ‘Ridiculous They’re Not Telling You About What’s Going On’

President-elect Donald Trump promised to release a report one day into his presidency on the drone sightings across New Jersey in December which drew much intrigue from the public and media but few answers from the federal government.

As speculation grew as to who or what was controlling the aircraft, with takes ranging from extraterrestrials to a secret Chinese government operation, federal agencies and administration officials failed to provide information. Without going into detail, at the time, officials urged public calm and tried to reassure people that the drones did not pose a security threat. This, naturally, led to more curiosity.

On Thursday, after attending the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, Trump held a meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, hosting the nation’s Republican governors ahead of his second term.

The president-elect gave an address and then took questions from Fox News journalist Peter Doocy. At one point, Doocy asked about the drone instances when Trump promised to give the public some answers.

DOOCY: A story that kind of disappeared very suddenly – do you any idea whatever happened to the drones?

TRUMP: What happened to drones?

DOOCY: Well, you said you knew– you thought the government knew what was happening with these drones over New Jersey. There were some by Bedminster–

TRUMP: I don’t know. They’re all over Bedminster a lot. I’m going to give you a report on drones about one day into the administration because I think it’s ridiculous that they’re not telling you about what’s going on with the drones… Peter, thank you very much. Does Biden do – I mean does he do this kind of a news conference?
