Trump Shows Hands When Asked About Viral Photo Showing Red Spots on Them: ‘Maybe It’s AI’
Former President Donald Trump showed his hands to Fox News correspondent Mark Meredith on Wednesday after Meredith grilled the 45th president about a viral photo showing Trump with red spots on his skin.
As Trump exited a meeting with the Teamsters union in Washington, D.C., Meredith asked Trump, “How’s your hand? It looks like it’s better now.”
“My hand?” replied Trump, seemingly confused, as he looked at his hands and then held them up.
The conversation continued:
Meredith: Yeah, what happened the other day?
Trump: What was wrong with it?
Meredith: You didn’t see the photos?
Trump: No. What was wrong with it?
As Trump held up one of his hands for the camera to see, Meredith requested that Trump show the “other one” too.
After Trump held that hand up to the camera, Meredith said, “Ok, and do you wanna tell us what happened with the hand?”
“Nothing,” replied Trump. “Maybe it’s A.I.”
Two weeks ago, as Trump was photographed leaving a New York City courthouse following his E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, social media users noticed red marks on one of Trump’s hands.
The marks, which resembled sores, resulted in a wave of speculation in the media, including the suggestion from Democratic operative James Carville and other liberals that Trump had contracted the sexually transmitted infection syphilis.
“I’ve asked a number of MDS what medical condition manifests itself through hand sores,” said Carville. “And the answer is immediate and unanimous: Secondary syphilis. All right. I think there’s a good chance this man has the clap, and I’m not being particularly secretive about it.”
#SyphilisDon went on to trend on social media as a result of the claims.
Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough speculated that Trump’s hands could have been stained by “magic marker,” while MSNBC’s Lisa Rubin suggested that the marks could have been cuts as a result of Trump banging the table during his trial.
Unnamed sources went on to tell TMZ that blood, the result of a paper cut, was the reason for the red marks on Trump’s hand.
