Trump Shows Laura Ingraham the Button on His Oval Office Desk That ‘Everyone Thinks’ Is ‘the Nuclear’

The production team behind the Trump Presidency TV Show™ offered a new “behind-the-scenes” or “making of” version Wednesday night as President Donald Trump gave Fox News host Laura Ingraham a private tour of the Oval Office.

It was a fascinating tour during which the commander-in-chief proudly showed off the office walls nearly filled with oil paintings of past American presidents, as well as unveiled a framed Declaration of Independence by dramatically pulling open navy curtains in the showy style that comes naturally to Trump. The president also found time to insult his predecessor, former President Joe Biden — also in a way that comes naturally to him.

After explaining that the curtains shield the historic document from potentially damaging light, Trump said, “Think Joe Biden would do this? I don’t think so. Do you think he’d think of it? Do you think he knows what it is?

Now there’s a lot made on another network about your bringing in the gold accents to Trumpify the Oval Office,” Ingraham asked, likely referencing a recent Kaitlan Collins report.

“It needed a little life,” Trump interjected, potentially missing Ingraham’s cue to dig the rival news network.

“So you have the mantle, and you have the cherubs from, is that from Mar-a-Lago?” she asked.

That’s actually— they’re gold, all gold look, and you know, the — it’s angels — they say angels bring good luck, and we need a lot of luck in this country with what they’ve done over the last four years, so …take a look,” Trump spoke elliptically. “Do you know that a little secret? I don’t know if you’re gonna waste your time putting this on, but throughout the years, people have tried to come up with a gold paint that would look like gold, and they’ve never been able to do it. You’ve never been as look at that. Look, you’ve never been able to match gold with gold paint; that’s why it’s gold.”

“Where’s the coke button?” Ingraham eventually asked.

It’s right here,” Trump replied as the camera zoomed in for a close-up of Trump’s finger pressing a red button. “Everyone thinks that’s the nuclear — everyone thinks that’s the-, thinks that’s the nuclear weapon. They say if I press this, it’s the end of the world.”

“Oh,” Ingraham replied, to which Trump added, “but it doesn’t seem to work out that way.”

Trump reportedly used the button during his first administration to prank unsuspecting guests into thinking he was randomly launching nuclear weapons. Of course, the idea that a sitting president could launch a nuclear attack so casually belies reason, so the prank probably didn’t really fool anyone.
