WATCH: Red Cross Convoy Carrying Hostages Crosses Over from Egypt to Israel

Images of the Red Cross convoy purporting to carry just-released Israeli and Thai hostages from Hamas have just aired live on CNN.

The apparent confirmation of safe harbor of hostages ends what was a very tense two-hour period that started with a scheduled release at 9 am Friday morning as part of a negotiated pause in fighting between the IDF and Hamas, which will ultimately lead to the release of 50 hostages back to Israel in return for 150 Hamas prisoners held by Israel.

White trucks emblazoned with the iconic Red Cross logo on the side, carrying white Red Cross flags, could be seen driving through the Rafah Crossing while horns honking in apparent celebration could be heard in the background.

Riyadh-based news outlet Al Arabiya released more footage:

The hostages will be reviewed for medical needs, and helicopters ready to airlift anyone in dire need to a hospital in Tel Aviv are ready if necessary.
