WATCH: Seinfeld Reunion Happens Live During Super Bowl Halftime

It turns out Jerry Seinfeld was telling the truth, his reunion with Jason Alexander’s George Costanza both was and wasn’t a Super Bowl commercial. It also both was and wasn’t an episode of his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

The pair came together for a short video that aired as part of Fox’s Super Bowl halftime show, just before Bruno Mars took the stage. They had one of their classic conversations about nothing at the real Tom’s Restaurant (Monk’s on the show) before an old friend (Newman!) made a brief appearance at their table. The piece then directed people to ComediansInCarsGettingCoffee.com for a longer version of the video.

And just like that, the big mystery was solved…
