Full disclosure: I don’t get all this Sharknado hype. I just don’t. All I know about the movie is what’s in this video. But this is just getting way out of hand, because today Tara Reid was on MSNBC to promote the new SyFy flick Sharknado 2: The Second One and good God I can’t believe I just typed that.
Ronan Farrow kicked things off with a couple of funny tweets about the first movie and asked Reid about how much fun it was being in the movie. Reid admitted that when she heard what the title was going to be, she was worried it would tank her… I’m sorry, I just can’t continue, this is too ridiculous.
Having Tara Reid on MSNBC, of course, confused the hell out of a lot of people.

Tara Reid on msnbc – with a straight face, "I worried that Sharknado would ruin my career".

“I’ve always been afraid to get bit by a shark.” — Tara Reid on MSNBC, because MSNBC is only covering sharks today, it seems.

But if you want to know the real reason why MSNBC is talking about Sharknado, here it is.
Farrow did acknowledge the corporate connection, but confessed, “Let’s be real, we’d be covering this anyway.”
Somehow I very much doubt that.
