‘You’re a Liberal Talkshow Host Pretending to Be a Journalist’: Hannity Hits Back at Jake Tapper After CNN Host Called Him an ‘Unofficial Trump Adviser’

Sean Hannity responded to Jake Tapper after the CNN host took a couple of shots at his Fox News counterpart. Sort of.

On Friday, Tapper responded to Hannity’s criticism of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address the previous night. The Fox News host, who routinely says Biden is in cognitive decline, said the president was too amped up during his speech.

“Tonight, America saw, let’s say, a very different Joe Biden. I might call him Jacked-Up Joe,” Hannity said. “And that’s being charitable. He sounded like a hyper-caffeinated, angry, old man.”

Tapper aired a clip of Hannity, whom he referred to as an “unofficial Trump adviser.” The CNN host also seized on Hannity’s “charitable” remark and sarcastically said, “Hannity always known for being charitable.”

The Fox host addressed Tapper’s digs at the end of Monday’s Hannity:

I was supposed to have a message for Fake Jake Tapper. But after my team did a little investigating, this guy barely like, gets over 500,000 viewers a day or night or whenever he’s on. I’d say if you want me to respond, Fake Jake, you need at least a million, million and a half viewers before you get my attention. I addressed it earlier today. Jake, you’re a liberal talkshow host pretending to be a journalist. That’s why the name Fake Jake is perfect for you
