Chris Wallace: Trump Wrong to ‘Demonize’ Mexican Immigrants
Within the next 24 hours, we can safely expect Donald Trump to bash Fox’s Chris Wallace on Twitter with a slew of pejoratives. Why? Because the Fox News Sunday host dared question the seriousness of Trump as a presidential candidate and slammed his harsh words about Mexican immigrants.
“I think it’s kind of a big deal to be President of the United States, and it’s a serious job,” Wallace told Allman in the Morning on Thursday morning. “And I think you need someone who attacks the issues seriously, and when Donald Trump says, ‘Mexicans are sending their rapists and their whatevers, drug dealers, across the border and we’re going to build a high wall and we’re going to make the Mexicans pay for it,’ that doesn’t strike me as a very serious response.”
He added: “To demonize a group of people, I don’t think is right.”
