GOP Officials Voting on NBC, CNN Debate Boycott This Morning

According to a resolution obtained by Fox News, Republican Party officials will vote this morning on whether to move forward with boycotting NBC and CNN primary debates should the networks proceed with their planned television features on Hillary Clinton.

The resolution calls on the two networks to cancel their Hillary programming, which the GOP describes as “political ads masked as unbiased entertainment.”

Should neither network comply with the request, the resolution continues, “the Republican National Committee will neither partner with these networks in the 2016 presidential primary debates nor sanction any primary debates they sponsor.”

Both CNN and NBC have defended their programming decision, with the latter stating that the film’s production is entirely separate from their news entities. CNN pushed back on the GOP’s outcry by suggesting it is “curious” for the party to judge the production of a movie that has yet to be made.
