Hope Hicks Reportedly Under Consideration to Return to White House as Trump’s Chief of Staff

Remember Hope Hicks? The former White House communications director left the Trump administration just months ago, amid reporting that she said she occasionally told “white lies” for President Trump (something Trump was apparently angered by).

However, just last month The Daily Beast reported Trump actually misses Hicks because she was “was a prominent source of personal support and comfort for an increasingly isolated president, and considered like close family.”

Well, as Gabriel Sherman reports for Vanity Fair today, she could potentially return after all:

Another dark-horse candidate [for chief of staff] is Hope Hicks. Two sources say Hicks’s name is being discussed inside the White House. According to a source close to Hicks, she has told people she is open to the job if Trump asked, but is not pursuing it. When I reached out, she declined to comment.

The talk about a new White House chief of staff came after reports that John Kelly is departing some time this summer.
