Chris Matthews: “Don’t Compare Any Human Being To Glenn Beck”

Following Rep. John Boehner‘s weepy speech last night MSNBC’s inimitable election panel spent some time hashing over what the tears meant. Rachel Maddow felt that Boehner’s tears fit right in with certain cable news hosts.

Maddow: He’s a weeper. I mean there’s people in cable news that we all know who part of the way they connect with people is by weeping. It’s one of the things he does. And I think it’s probably moving to him that he’s Speaker.

Responded Matthews: Don’t compare him to Beck. Don’t compare any human being to Glenn Beck.

Indeed. Those are some pretty harsh words from the man who may have only just discovered Beck two months ago. Watch below.
