Cosby Dismisses Rape Allegations in Newly Released Video: ‘I Don’t Talk About It’

The Associated Press made the decision tonight to release previously unreleased video from an interview conducted with Bill Cosby earlier this month when he was asked about the multiple rape accusations against him. And they not only released video of a clearly pissed-off Cosby not wanting to talk about it, but they showed video from right after they wrapped the interview in which he asks his interviewer that they not publicly air any of that portion of the interview.

During the interview, Cosby said, “There’s no response… There is no comment about that. And I’ll tell you why. I think you were told––I don’t want to compromise your integrity, but we don’t––I don’t talk about it.”

Once the interview ended, Cosby requested that they not show any of his answer, saying, “I would appreciate it if it was scuttled.” He told his interviewer he thought “it wouldn’t be necessary to go over that question with you” because it was an Associated Press interview.

The AP made the decision to run the video today, since in the intervening time, two more women have come out to accuse Cosby of rape.
