Could CNBC’s Rick Santelli Be Mitt Romney’s VP Pick?

Marco Rubio. Chris Christie. Ryan Seacrest. So many names have been added to the list of potential — or, at least, much hoped-for — GOP running mates. Well, now you can add CNBC on-air editor Rick Santelli to that illustrious and seemingly ever-shifting list.

The Daily Caller reports today that Jeff Kahn — the man behind the movement to draft Santelli for president — is now setting his sights on promoting the reporter as a potential vice presidential running mate for presumptive nominee Mitt Romney.

Kahn told the site that, as he sees it, “Rick Santelli complements Mitt Romney as a candidate. Choosing any career politician to run with him will not counter the voters’ concerns with Gov. Romney.”

Santelli’s impassioned commentary has earned him several headlines over the years. Perhaps most notably, he helped make history by giving a name to a then-burgeoning grassroots movement.
