DOJ Reportedly Charging Dem Sen. Bob Menendez with Corruption

CNN is reporting this afternoon that New Jersey senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) will be charged with corruption by the Department of Justice.

Eric Holder has reportedly signed off on criminal corruption charges against Menendez. Menendez allegedly accepted gifts and donations from big donor Salomon Melgen, and in exchange he pushed Melgen’s personal interests in Congress.

And according to CNN, the DOJ has also been scrutinizing plane trips Menendez took as Melgen’s guest and Menendez attempting to help out a business of Melgen’s over a government contract with the Dominican Republic.
