Fox 5 DC Security Guard Shoots Man Trying to Break Into Building
There was an emergency situation in Washington D.C. on Monday after a suspected intruder tried to gain access to the Fox 5 news building.
A report from the network says that the individual was shot by a security guard as he tried to get inside the building. The intruder was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to the hospital, and Fox 5’s report says he’s currently in critical condition. Indications from the scene suggest that no one else was hurt.

UPDATE – 5:40 p.m. ET: Surveillance video from the building shows that the intruder got inside by kicking down a glass door.
UPDATE – 7:10 p.m. ET: Fox 5 reports that the intruder’s name is George Odemns.
