Guess How Many Dems, GOPers Are Dissatisfied With the Nominees They Got Stuck With

PicMonkey-Collage-Trump-Clinton-300x197-300x197Wanna take a guess how many Republicans and Democrats are dismayed that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are their standard-bearers?

Well, it’s not exactly the best of news for either of them.

But it’s a little bit worse for Trump.

The new NBC/WSJ poll (the one that gives Clinton a 5-point edge over Trump) asked people in both parties if they’re satisfied with their party’s nominees. 45 percent of Republicans are satisfied with Trump. 52 percent aren’t.

And that is exactly the opposite of Clinton, with 52 percent satisfied and 45 percent not.

The split in the GOP about this along deeper lines is pretty fascinating:

GOP attitudes about Trump break along ideological and educational lines. By a 53 percent-to-45 percent margin, conservative Republicans say they prefer a different nominee to Trump, while moderates are split 49 percent to 49 percent.

Maybe more tellingly, 58 percent of Republicans with a high-school education or less are satisfied with Trump as the party’s presumptive nominee, versus 60 percent of Republicans with a college degree who want someone else.

Now, Trump does edge out Clinton in a number of questions about who would be better on certain things. More people say Trump would deal with the economy, guns, and “standing up for America” better than Clinton.

Also, on the question of Honesty, Trump crushes Clinton 41-25.
