Harvey Weinstein: I’m Working on Movie That Will Make NRA ‘Wish They Weren’t Alive’

Harvey Weinstein, one of the biggest names in Hollywood, is working on a movie that takes direct aim at the National Rifle Association. Speaking with Howard Stern Wednesday, Weinstein said he plans on making a movie that will make the NRA “wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”

During a discussion about Weinstein getting into the directing game, the issue of guns weaved its way in. Weinstein admitted that if something like the Holocaust was happening again, “I’d find a gun if that was happening to my people.” That being said, Weinstein doesn’t think “we need guns in this country” and called the NRA a disaster area.”

And then he hinted at a project he’s working on because of his passion about this particular issue.

“I’m gonna make a movie with Meryl Streep and we’re gonna take this issue head-on, and they’re gonna wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”
