House Officially Votes 225-201 to Sue President Obama
The House of Representatives has officially voted 225-201 to give Speaker John Boehner the authority to file his lawsuit against President Obama on behalf of the House.
Boehner filed the lawsuit to put a stop to the president’s unilateral action, and pinpointed an Obamacare provision delay in particular as what the lawsuit will be about.
The bill did not receive a single Democratic vote, but there were actually a couple of Republicans who voted against it.
Five Republicans voted AGAINST the resolution authorizing a lawsuit against Pres Obama:
Massie
Jones
Broun (GA)
Stockman
Garrett
