James Holmes’ Mother: ‘You Have The Right Person’

ABC News has spoken to a San Diego woman identifying herself as the mother of suspected Aurora gunman James Holmes. When asked about the possibility of her son’s involvement, she told reporters that they had “the right person”:

“You have the right person,” she said, apparently speaking on gut instinct. “I need to call the police… I need to fly out to Colorado.”

Twenty-four-year-old Holmes remains in police custody as the investigation into the shooting continues. So far, no motivation has been given for the shooting, which took the lives of at least 12 people and left several dozen injured.

Holmes is believed to have acted alone. He tipped authorities that there were booby traps or explosives of some sort in his North Aurora apartment and car (shown).
