Keith Olbermann Is Parting Ways With ESPN Again

Keith Olbermann‘s relationship with ESPN has been rocky in recent weeks, with the sports channel previously stalling to renew his contract and requesting that he tone down his outspoken “commentary.”

On Wednesday night, ESPN released a statement saying that they will not be renewing Olbermann’s contract at the end of July:

“Keith is a tremendous talent who has consistently done timely, entertaining and thought-provoking work since returning to ESPN. While the show’s content was distinctive and extremely high quality, we ultimately made a business decision to move in another direction. We wish Keith nothing but the best and trust that his skill and ability will lead him to another promising endeavor.”

This is not the first time the two have part ways. Olbermann previously anchored on SportsCenter back in the 90s before moving to MSNBC, Fox Sports, back to MSNBC, and then ESPN again in 2013.
