Maria Shriver Speaks Out On Schwarzenegger Child

With the big news this morning being the out of wedlock child that led to the dissolution of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s marriage, many have been waiting for some comment from the couple in volved. People Magazine has received a brief statement from Shriver.

“‘This is a painful and heartbreaking time,’ said Shriver, 55. ‘As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.'”

As the story goes, the Shriver separated from Schwarzenegger after she learned that he had fathered a son 10 years ago with a member of their household staff.
