Michael Medved Confronts Palin on Impeachment: How Is This ‘Vaguely Possible?’

Conservative radio host Michael Medved grilled Sarah Palin over her call for impeachment today and shared his deep skepticism that impeachment would actually work. Even if Republicans take the Senate, they would still need to get some Democrats to support impeaching Obama, and Medved asked Palin if she really thinks it’s “vaguely possible” for that to happen.

Palin was absolutely optimistic about getting Democrats to join over, claiming there will be plenty of Reagan Democrats and “blue dogs” who will do the right thing. Medved could think of literally just one Democrat who might do it, not nearly enough. (And that’s assuming, of course, every single Senate Republican would get on board with impeachment in the first place.)

Palin touted, “As more Americans open their eyes to this lawless presidency… the more the will of the people will be exercised and will be made manifest by pressure put on the Democrats.”

Medved continued to be skeptical, noting that if the Republicans “grab the national agenda” with impeachment and lose, “that would be a profound negative for the conservative movement.” Palin disagreed, and asserted there are plenty of Democrats “who are on our side on this.”
