Mitt Romney Assures Voters That He Washes His Hands Regularly To Avoid Getting Germs On Campaign Trail

When political candidates run for office, one of the most important parts of the campaign is approaching the American people, looking them in the eyes, and shaking their hands. But unfortunately, we don’t know where everybody’s hands have been. And this poses a problem for germaphobic politicians. So during a forum one of the candidates held over the weekend, an attendee asked how frequently hands are washed on the busy campaign trail.

Mitt Romney has been campaigning in South Carolina in anticipation of the state’s January 21st primary. On Friday, he spoke in Hilton Head, and was asked by someone in the room how many hands he shakes and how many times he washes his hands on the campaign trail.

“You’ll be happy to hear that I do wash my hands regularly so that as I shake your hand today you won’t have to worry if the germs I got earlier today in Florida are going to be coming to South Carolina.”

Romney also mentioned he uses Purell to make sure he doesn’t transfer any potential germs between supporters. And if he really does wash his hands frequently, Romney is actually more aware of when to wash one’s hands than many U.S. medical students.

Not unlike what he did at Bain Capital… substitute ‘germs’ with ‘employees’

That was a good answer to a weird question.

Did Mr. Romney know that Obama was Presidentin’ in Chicago last week at three fundraisers? What does Obama charge his donors for a handshake? $35,000. or so?

Obama also stopped by his Rezko Estates mansion to pick up the mail, and see if the adjoining  Rezko land is large enough for him to build a Secret Service lookout shack that he can rent out to them.

Just preempting a predictable lame liberal retort

your post is nothing short of idiotic, if you think anyone still cares about these issues you are delusional.

And an even weirder comment from you. (Not that anyone expects better, given your track record of off-topic, fact-mangling, head-scratching rants.)

Come on now. EVERYBODY was warned to wash their hands frequently when it was flu season. It’s a good practice. I especially wash my hands when I shake the hand of a Politician! (Joking – I”d never shake the hand of a politician)

I’ve read that Donald Trump is an almost obsessive hand-washer.

That’s one of the few intelligent things I’ve heard him say.  Most Murcuhns are hygienic slobs.

I remember Trump saying he prefers not to shake hand and considers it one of the stupidest and most unsanitary traditions in society. It’s one of the few things he’s right on.

Good heavens, I should hope so.  The number one route of transmission of germs, colds, flus.  Hand washing a must.  This is a good thing.

This is out of context, the question was asked by a grade school girl who was referring to her science project about MRSA.
