No Joke: Stephen Colbert’s Sister Is Actually Running For Congress

Stephen Colbert might not become a Senator from South Carolina anytime soon. But his sister could be a Congresswoman.

The Washington Post is reporting that Elizabeth Colbert-Busch will be throwing her name in the ring, as a Democrat, for Senator-Designate Tim Scott‘s old House seat in South Carolina.

Colbert-Busch has most recently served as the director of business development for Clemson University’s Restoration Institute. While any Democrat in Scott’s district would be an underdog, perhaps this candidate can rely on the “Colbert Bump” from her brother to help put her over the top.
