O’Reilly Shoots Down ‘False’ Allegations of Domestic Abuse

Bill O'Reilly (1)Gawker ran a report earlier today that Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly was accused of physically assaulting his ex-wife Maureen McPhilmy during testimony over a custody dispute that reportedly ended three weeks ago.

The documents are sealed, but Gawker cites a source as saying O’Reilly had grabbed McPhilmy by the neck and dragged her down a staircase. In the post, Gawker also goes so far as to invoke what O’Reilly has said in the past about “patterns of violence among racial minorities.”

O’Reilly issued a brief statement, through his attorney, to Politico’s On Media blog reading, “All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100% false. I am going to respect the court-mandated confidentiality put in place to protect my children and will not comment any further.”
