Police ID Suspect Who Shot and Killed Memphis Cop

Memphis police today identified the man suspected of shooting and killing an officer during a traffic stop as 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn.

Authorities say that Officer Sean Bolton pulled over Wilbourn on a traffic stop, only for Wilbourn to shoot and kill him. There is a manhunt underway for Wilbourn.

An arrest warrant has been issued for first-degree murder.

UPDATE – 6:24 E.S.T Wilbourne has reportedly been taken into custody. Details about how and where he was arrested have not yet been made available.
