Sen. Al Franken Supports Judge Sotomayor’s Views on Perry Mason
If you were wondering how former TV star Sen. Al Franken would begin his political career, we found out today in his Q&A with Judge Sonia Sotomayor: with TV references.
The newest U.S. Senator spent the first three minutes of his time reminiscing about what apparently was a favorite show of his and Sotomayor’s.
Luckily it all made sense when Franken took it full circle: “Here we are today. I’m asking you questions because you have been nominated to be a Justice of the United States Supreme Court. I think that’s pretty cool.”
When Franken got over how “cool” it was, he turned his attention to the Internet.
By the way, Franken read from his “pocket Constitution” during his Q&A, which sounds like something that may happen if Al Franken was playing “Al Franken” on SNL.
This should be fun.
