Sheep Wanders on to Field at Minor League Game, Strolls Around Center Like he Owns the Place
Timeout! Sheep on the field!
A sheep?
Yes, a sheep.
It happened during the bottom of the sixth inning of the A-ball game between the Batavia Muckdogs vs. the State College Spikes. Check out the sheep below, traipsing along in the outfield as if it owns the place.
The sheep entered the field after an entrance was left open following an appearance by the the Spikes’ mascot, the Nookie Monster. (Which appears to be very similar to the Cookie Monster, renamed so that the Spikes can get around the trademark infringement suit.)
The sheep was eventually chased off of the diamond and into the right field bullpen after about ninety seconds.
“This wouldn’t happen at Fenway,” one of the broadcasters said.
