Spicer: London Has ‘Full Support of the U.S. Government’ in Responding to Attack

Sean Spicer began today’s press briefing by addressing the attack in London, relaying that President Trump spoke earlier with Prime Minister Theresa May.

“We obviously condemn today’s attack in Westminster, which the United Kingdom is treating as an act of terrorism,” Spicer said, “and we applaud the quick response that the British police and their first responders made to the situation.”

He said the victims are in everyone’s thoughts and prayers and the U.K. government has “the full support of the U.S. government in responding to the attack and bringing those to justice who are responsible.”
