The Daily Obsession: Un-Maverick-y McCain

Yesterday, John McCain took the media on a revisionist time travel trip to reminding everyone of what a maverick he is by telling Newsweek, “I don’t consider myself a maverick.” This comment was, shockingly, taken with a grain of salt to anyone who lived the 2008 presidential election. How many raised pundit eyebrows can you count in the following video?

The Morning Joe crew were first in line to call McCain out on his backtracking, with Way Too Early host Willie Geist being almost too flabbergasted to comment. Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann didn’t let the comment die on primetime, and the CNN crew reported their own shock through Campbell Brown and John King. Fox News, on the other hand, was conspicuously silent on the matter—they were apparently still stuck on yesterday’s daily obsession: nuclear weapons.

McCain is no conservative. Vote him out with all the Dems. We have to get rid of RINOs and Dems. They are destroying America. Our freedoms are at stake. If you value your rights, vote out Dems and RINOs like McCain. Shame on Palin for supporting this old RINO. It might be time for her to go too if she continues. If Palin supports the old man, her judgement is flawed. (Oops I guess I am a racist for saying that, right you race baiting Dems?).

WHAT?! FNC didn’t talk about this clearly important story?! You mean, instead of talking about a story which will have global impact, and could potentially effect lives around the world… they talked about nuclear weapons?!

Oh, the horror of it all!

    LOL Your right

    What a headline “I don’t consider myself a maverick.”

    STOP THE PRESSES!!!!

Not to worry MSNBC and CNN are all over this one.

Did they do anything on the crazy anti war flag burners that marched in D.C. on March 20th or was the big breaking news that day: “The Maverick cut the cheese”?

I bet they did not cover those nuts who were bordering on voilent and burning flags.

Well he is going the way of Reagon and still serving, making law and regulation while becoming more feasible. His close friends won’t look out for his best interests and influence him to retire.I will look forward for more information.

I have no doubt if McCain thought it would net him a couple of votes he’d borrow an evening gown from Rudy! and accessorize in his own style. Truly, a man for all seasons.

Flunked out of virtually every school attended, depised by his peers, an alcoholic (Read “Naval Archives,” etc.) a total of 2.3 hours credited by the Navy for combat, an entire career of playing the fraudulent “hero card” – you little RepubVolk seem eager to distance yourselves from this “hero.” Where would you intellectual insects be without “Ace” McShame?? Even tho Hitler is waiting in the wings for your weaknesses, ya need to re-think your critcism of , aks/ “The Hanoi Hilton Songbird” (sic). It’s all to complicated for ya.

Oh, for the simpler days of hour after hour film of Stormin Norman racing his tanks across the desert in pursuit of a totally non-existent Ghost Army. And the huge Victory Parades that followed. Feel-good stuff for REAL Murcuhn Patriots. Carefully strained thru – Jeesussah! Wiederbetaetigung!!

Labels, Labels, Labels. Is that all we are going to reduce McCain down into. After all the service he has given our country, we are going to judge him on whether or not he see’s himself as a maverick or not? He’s given so much to this country, but all people care about is a gaffe he made. Maybe if he made them hourly like Biden the media would lay off. He’s a true conservative, as shown by his recent endorsement by NFIB small business group. So get of your little anal high horse and realize that actions speak louder than words. Then ponder all the ridiculous things Hayworth has said.

I do not care what he calls himself. The truth is, McCain IS the best candidate. No matter which way you cut it, McCain has what we want and JD is still the same loser he has always been. JD already failed in Washington, there is no need and no reason what so ever to vote for JD. JD continues to surround himself in the same controversy that he always had. Once shady, always shady…
