This Exists: Jumbo Jet Fly-By Over Golden Gate Bridge Gets Mixed Reviews

video

A weekend air show featuring the Blue Angels this weekend also featured a remarkable a low-level flyover by a giant United Airlines Boeing 747 over the Golden Gate Bridge. Judging by the response of the incredible video, some thought it an amazing feat of aviation, and others were somewhat creeped out by it. See for yourself in the clip below.

    Nice.

Breitbart.TV considering the source, I have to ask, is this an ACORN production or is it real?

Well , this is one flyover Obama won’t have to tell someone else to take the fall for . …Another stewardess landing ?

    IMHO, too soon.

I want to see it fly under the bridge.

I was there. Any notion that people were creeped out by this or that there were “mixed reviews” is outright BS. People were stoked to see this. I went there to see this. This was the second year in a row they’ve had a United 747 do a fly by. Three years ago it was a Virgin America A310, which really isn’t as impressive but a bit more maneuverable than a 747 in the air.

There’s no story here except the fake angle Mediaite is hyping…

I would also add that this video is somewhat misleading because it’s a zoom shot. This plane was flying over water and wasn’t that close to the crowd. You can see planes land at SFO at similar distances from across the way at the Westin.

No one should have gotten excited. The landing gear was down. Jihadists didn’t get to that chapter.

The landing gear was down to slow the plane down for the flyby. The 747 left the area with gear up and at a much faster speed and took off up in the air with a “best climb” maneuver.

Yeah, this is kinda lame. The pic and video freaked me out, but I live in the area and know how that scene would have looked. It’s an air show; there’s people on the hills and boats dotting the water; the Blue Angels do their gig, and this jet makes a pass over the water. The video draws everything into “jet above Golden Gate Bridge”, which leaves out a lot of perspective. I’m pissed I missed it.

Want to get freaked out? Try riding in one of these birds when its landing at SFO. You swear to God the pilots going to put it into the water during approach! LOL

Never happened with me. And I hate flying…

Why all the excitement? I think Air Force One and that fly over New York (photo op?) was a little more scary as many people ran out of office buildings thinking there would be another 9/11. As soon as I saw that on the news, where Air Force One was being used as a “sight seeing adventure for ( Obama & his kids, obviously) , I knew we were in trouble and all that I thought Obama COULD BE went down the drain and this was early in his Presidency, can’t blame a man for trying out all the “goodies”, so what if a few hundred office workers lose their lunch hour due to running away in fear..Will wonders never cease?
