Trump: No, the Republican Party Doesn’t Necessarily Need to Be Unified

In a preview of his interview on ABC’s This Week today, Donald Trump said he doesn’t necessarily think the GOP needs to be unified in the fall.

He told George Stephanopoulos, “Does the party have to be together? Does it have to be unified?… I actually don’t think so.”

Stephanopoulos was a little surprised as Trump said that, while it “would be better if it were unified,” he doesn’t need a united GOP to win.

He touted all the “millions” of votes he would get from Democrats, especially Bernie Sanders voters who don’t like Hillary Clinton.
