‘Why Would That Be?’ Jake Tapper Wonders Why ‘Propaganda Channel’ RT America is Targeting Him

Yesterday, RT America posted a segment from The Resident, Lori Harfenist, in which she assailed CNN anchor Jake Tapper for getting into Twitter battles with “twelve-year-olds” while also giving life to fake tweets purporting to be created by him.

This morning, Tapper clapped back and asked why a Russian state-funded network would be taking aim at him.

However, he didn’t just stop there. The Lead host proceeded to toss out a slew of tweets spotlighting Russia and its president Vladimir Putin regarding human rights abuses and “thugocracy.”

He then ended it by sending a message to RT in Russian:

This isn’t the first time that Tapper’s tussled with the network. In January, RT America anchor Anya Parampil mocked Tapper and Dana Bash for discussing fireworks during Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities. Tapper shot back, calling on Parampil to tune in next time they they discussed “how your boss Vladimir Putin and is responsible for human rights abuses and cyberattacks of US.”
