The Russia Investigation Has Now Expanded to Michael Cohen

michael-cohen-wolfedited-650x459Jared Kushner can breathe a brief sigh of relief as Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer and close confidant, is now revealed to have become the focus of the Congressional investigation into Russian interference in the election.

Speaking to ABC, Cohen confirmed that he was asked to provide “information and testimony,” but declined because “the invitation to participate as the request was poorly phrased, overly broad and not capable of being answered.” And it’s yet another member of the Trump team acting like they totally have nothing at all to hide.

The Senate Select Intelligence Committee then voted unanimously to allow chairman, Sen. Richard Burr and ranking Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner, authority to issue any subpoenas as they consider necessary.

Not familiar with Michael Cohen? He’s that guy who got into it with Brianna Keilar during the election, refusing to acknowledge “all the polls” that showed Trump down (see below.) He was also famously quoted in The Daily Beast, telling them to “tread very f*cking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be f*cking disgusting.”

Class act.
