Barbara Walters And Sean Hannity Both Land Palin Interviews
Sarah Palin’s media book tour blitz continues. It’s been announced that Palin will tape a five part series with Barbara Walters, parts of which will air on Nightline on Nov. 17 — one day after her interview with Oprah Winfrey is set to take place — and again on Good Morning America on Nov. 18 and on “20/20″ on Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. ET.
Additionally, Mediaite can confirm Drudge’s report that Palin’s first cable television interview will be with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, also on November 18.
Palin noted on her Facebook page today that she is “very, very excited to travel the country” and added that she hopes to sit with a number of other well-known media folks including Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Greta Van Susteren. It’s interesting to note, however, that Palin has heavy ended the opening of her both tour with Oprah and Walters, two interview powerhouses who are not likely to give Palin an easy ride.

This can only mean one thing: Tina Fey cameo on SNL.
Palin is far from as big a deal as they are making her into. As a former Republican and an afficiando of the former Alaska governor, I can no more endorse her for a presidential run than I could go back and resurrect an opportunity for Dan Quayle.
Both of these (arguably great) conservative candidates were completely marginalized by the mainstream media and even three more years from now, the damage done in ‘08 will still be remembered.
This is something Rush is dead on about. The Republicans are finished, so long as they continue to bring compromised individuals to the National stage. People that have sold their soul to one PAC after another. The days of the kinder, gentler Conservative are over. . . If they ever really existed.
Conservatives are always at their best when they stand for the values they believe in and don’t bend to political expediency.
I’d actually feel much stronger about a second Ron Paul run, who wasn’t so much marginalized, as he was ignored by the political establishment. If Paul had been allowed to gain traction in ‘08 by even a “fair and balanced” review of his campaign. . . We might be looking at a whole different America today. One truly pulling out of recession and into real, substantiated growth – backed by distracting little details things like jobs and housing starts, etc.
I wish Palin luck on her book. But seriously folks, don’t believe the hype!
It’s at best, half-hearted and insincere. Within months, these same journalists on the national scene that are fawning over her will return to trying to eat her innards
If Palin, Bachman, Beck, Limbaugh is kept in the limelight, the Republican party will be kept in the ‘crazy’ zone and will continue to not be salient.
Joe Klein Smackdown Pt 2: Glenn Beck, In The Library, With A Pipe

Something about Time's Joe Klein really brings out the best (or the worst, depending) in Glenn Beck. The last time Beck went after Klein -- for a column on the "stupidity" of Americans -- the result was arguably Beck's best fifteen minutes ever. Today's spot was a little bit like Masterpiece Theater meets Mr. Rogers meets...Mel Brooks?
