UPDATED: Multiple Dead in Shooting at Madden Video Game Tournament at Jacksonville Landing

 

Police said multiple people were killed in a shooting at Jacksonville Landing, a major entertainment and shopping complex in Jacksonville Florida,

A Madden Football video game tournament was underway at the time, and the Twitch livestream picked up terrifying audio of gunfire and patrons screaming (above).

UPDATE: 2:48 p.m. EST: The sheriff’s office reported multiple fatalities.

UPDATE: 2:55 p.m. EST: 

One suspect is dead at the scene, per officials.

UPDATE: 3:32 P.M. ET:
Los Angeles Times reporter Matt Pearce interviewed an eyewitness who says the shooter killed himself after killing other competitors.

UPDATE: EA Sports, the makers of the Madden NFL franchise, have tweeted about the killings.
