Kellyanne Conway Gets Grilled By Alisyn Camerota for Stonewalling: ‘You’re Not Answering the Question’

Kellyanne Conway gave an interview to CNN’s New Day on Friday, and the discussion got seriously heated after she refused to answer Alisyn Camerota‘s questions again and again.

Camerota started things off by asking for Conway’s response to a new Washington Post report about Vladimir Putin‘s campaign to involve itself in the 2016 election. Conway responded by noting how no one produced evidence that the Trump Administration colluded with Russia’s efforts and the president won the election legitimately.

Camerota proceeded to ask what exactly is the White House doing to stop a foreign government from interfering with American elections in the future. Conway invoked Jeh Johnson‘s recent testimony about how the Democratic National Committee declined his help in securing their computer networks, though Camerota asked Conway again: “what is President Trump now doing from preventing Russia from doing this again?”

Camerota ended up repeating the question at least six times more when the White House adviser kept diverting from any explanation for how Trump will prevent further election-meddling. “You’re not answering the question,” Camerota said as the exchange grew increasingly intense.

Later, Camerota tried a new approach by asking Conway if she thought Trump has done enough to get Russia to back off. Conway eventually snapped at CNN and Camerota for “aiding and abetting” an obsession about Russia instead of paying more attention to the positives of the Trump Administration.
