FOX, CNN, MSNBC Project Rand Paul Winner Of Kentucky GOP Primary
All these major cable networks are projecting that Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul, Tea Party favorite and son of libertarian Texas Congressman Ron Paul, has won his party’s nomination in Kentucky. While there is still slightly less than 100% of precincts reporting, most estimates have Paul’s lead in the double digits against opponent Trey Grayson. Paul had been expected to win against Grayson, who had received a widely-publicized endorsement from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, by pollsters for the past few weeks.
MSNBC is currently putting the vote at 59% to 36%. Cable news coverage of the Kentucky primary below:
