Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Rips Trump For ‘Ridiculous’ Tweet Blaming U.S. For Poor Relations With Russia: ‘That’s Insulting’
Fox & Friends‘ Brian Kilmeade, host of Donald Trump‘s favorite morning show, scolded the president on Monday morning for his bizarre tweet blaming the United States for bad relations with Russia.
It’s the kind of tweet that had it come from former President Barack Obama, would have generated years of outrage coverage on Fox News:
Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!

“That’s by far the most ridiculous tweet of late,” Kilmeade said on Fox & Friends. “That is insulting to past administrations – he can’t be saying that going into the Russian summit.”
Later, Kilmeade asked Newt Gingrich about the tweet.
“I like the president’s tweets, I understand what he’s trying to do with the EU and NATO,” Kilmeade noted. “But what I don’t understand is this tweet.”
“It’s really not our foolishness and stupidity. They might not like the things we’re doing — but would you really say foolishness and stupidity is a correct characterization?” Kilmeade asked.
Gingrich — who would have written a book warning Obama was ushering in a Communist America if the former president had written the above tweet — had little opinion on Trump doing it.
“I’m not going to try to rewrite the president’s tweets,” the former Speaker of the House said dismissively. “I think there’s been a lot of weakness,” he continued, highlighting former Presidents Obama and George W. Bush.
