Fox News Most Watched on Cable News During San Bernardino Coverage
Fox News got the highest viewership of the big three cable news networks during breaking coverage of the San Bernardino shooting yesterday.
Fox averaged a total of over 4 million viewers from 3 pm to 1 am, beating out CNN and MSNBC by far––2.77 million and 1.08 million respectively.
And looking at just the 8-11 primetime slots, Fox averaged over 5 million viewers and close to 1.383 million in the demo. CNN came close to Fox in the demo with 1.379 million, but only racked in a primetime average of 3.74 million viewers.
Fox’s coverage yesterday was marked by a strong moment of Shepard Smith agreeing with President Obama that more mass shootings happen in the United States than anywhere else in the world.
