In the interview before the show she said she was very nervous.  Apparently even Madonna is a human being.

Andy doesn’t move much when he sings Moon River. People in the stadium would have time to go up and get a $25. hot dog and come back to their seats and he’s still singing Moon River.

Well, considering she was recovering from a hamstring injury and is 53 years old, I dunno… I thought it was pretty impressive.

Andy moves around pretty darn good for being 84 years old and he is a helluva nice guy. Let’s pray that he recovers from his cancer and makes it back for another year.

Madonna was awesome as always.

 It was some top dollar lip syncing.

Everyone gave the Who grief for their performance, and the NFL brought back pop/dance acts for the past 2 years to replace live rock – but at least Daltry and Townshend actually played and sang their music. Ditto for Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney and U2.

Bring back actual bands, NFL. It’s so much better than watching some grandma dance to a prerecorded track.

I agree Super Bowl Halftime shows have to be Rock.  Next year they need to get ACDC before they stop rocking.

The only part that was somewhat decent was when real singers came on stage. Other than that, a pom pom waving 55 yr old was just embarrassing.

Yes, because we all know that the Rolling Stones made their best music in the 2000s when they had massively successful tours (at least one of which was bigger than Madonna’s). Get a grip. Not a single one of her songs over the last 15+ years has been remotely memorable like her early stuff.

Was never much of a Madonna fan but that show was epic and she proved that she can still do it.

Whoever designed that production is talented. The scope was right for the venue which was huge.  Oftentimes these things can’t be pulled off because the production is overpowered by the size of the site.  Not true this time.

Both my husband and I agreed that this was probably the best Superbowl halftime show we’ve ever seen.

I thought the performance was good, and I loved the early Madonna with Holiday, Material Girl, Holiday, Like a Virgin, Holiday..Ok, one song, and she didn’t sing it. Bummer.

By my way of thinking, High Heels or Stilleto Boots, whatever you want to call them, on graduated steps-bleachers-certainly looked like a recipe for disaster. Nobody fell, and all was well.
