Neil Cavuto Fires Back at Stewart: Fox News Doesn’t ‘Hate the Poor’

After Fox News repeatedly piled on President Obama for scolding their coverage of the poor, Jon Stewart really went after Fox and said Obama’s actually right to say they have such “contempt for those in poverty.”

The biggest target of Stewart’s ire, Fox Business’ Stuart Varney, merely laughed it off this morning, but Neil Cavuto pushed back against Stewart at the end of his Fox show today.

He took offense at the “unfair” suggestion that “we at Fox actually hate the poor.” Cavuto argued Fox knows there are lots of poor people out there who are really suffering, but “I just question whether all the folks we’re supposedly helping all are poor.”
