Piers Morgan To Ron Paul: ‘Are You And Mitt Romney In Bed Together?’
On Thursday, CNN’s Piers Morgan invited GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul onto his show, where he asked him about having been “Mr. Nice Guy” over the course of the Republican race until the release of a recent attack ad aimed at the other three candidates.
Paul felt Morgan’s description of the ad as “down and dirty” was a little “over the top.”

“There is a theory going around,” Morgan said, “that you’re going a bit easy on Mitt Romney. And there are all sorts of potential reasons for that I won’t bore you with, but is it true? I mean, are you and Mitt Romney in bed together?”
“No,” said Paul. “I mean, one of our ads on right now challenges him for being, you know, a flip-flopper. I think you guys are desperate for news if that’s the big news, because there’s nothing to it.” It’s possible, he continued, to be able to get along with a person even if you don’t happen to agree with him when it comes to policy.
“I would say that politicians pretty much come together sort of like a family,” he added. “You know the old saying, that you can fight with your siblings, but don’t let the neighbors come in.” Indeed, he seemed completely uninterested in weighing in on rival candidate Rick Santorum’s recent gaffes and controversial statements… or with playing along and answering whether he’d take a position in a rival’s administration.
